Jim Stalder, CIO, Mercy Health Services
Jim Stalder has been involved in many different aspects of the technology industry for over 20 years. Currently, he is the Chief Information Officer for Mercy Health Services – a diverse health care provider headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland with over $430 million of revenue. At Mercy, Jim is responsible for the technology strategy, implementation and support processes for a 235 bed hospital, 35 physician practices, and a 300 bed long term care facility. Among other projects, he is currently leading the organization through the implementation of an electronic medical record and barcoded medication administration tools.
Prior to the healthcare industry, Jim held product and strategy leadership positions at Internet and Software as a Service industry pioneers - Digex and USinternetworking. He has experienced all facets of the “dot com” era – from venture capital fundraising, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and bankruptcy. Jim introduced the World’s first outsourced Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Internet server product line and personally brought online the first outsourced Windows NT web server in the industry.
Jim also spent several years at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) working with large scale custom application development projects in the telecommunications industry. Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
